What Powers Does

a Health Care Agent Have?

A health care agent has the power to make the same kinds of decisions about health care that you could make if you were able.  This includes the power to: give or refuse permission for any treatment, service or procedure; choose health care providers; choose where you will live to receive care; and obtain copies of your medical records.  You may limit any of these powers or assign additional ones.
